SMALL TOWN GIRL, BIG CITY DREAMS
Samantha Abrahart always dreamed of building her own brand. Ever since she was young, she was mesmerized with traveling, cultures, and fashion. Growing up in London, England, and then moving to Alpharetta, Georgia when she was 12, she experienced two completely different cultures during her childhood. Living in those two distinctly different places had a powerful influence on her; she loved the high fashion feel of London, but also the laid-back yet still chic vibe of Alpharetta/Atlanta, and thus decided to incorporate them both into her clothing line, Southern & City. She started the line at age 18, building upon encouragement and support from family, friends, and fans. This encouragement has led to a rapid rise into one of the south’s emerging designers. She now is working on expanding and developing the brand, which is based in Atlanta, GA.

As well as her work with Southern & City, Samantha is a full time college student at North Georgia College. She studies business marketing and hopes to one day work with Southern & City full time. She accredits her passion to excel to her mother and father who have inspired her to make the most of each and every day.
Samantha has also been involved in many community service projects. She feels a strong need to “pay it forward” in life, something her dad stressed at a young age.
“Money and material things will never bring you happiness; helping other people does.”
This motto is one that she has learned to live by every day. Her belief in that motto is so strong that Samantha had to implement it in her life through Southern & City. Last year, S&C held a benefit fashion show for Dress For Success Atlanta where they raised over $4,000 for the local Atlanta charity. Samantha enjoys putting on charity events and says she is excited about the possibilities and opportunities for S&C to give back! Until then, Sam will continue to balance being a student, a business owner, and a philantrophist at the very young age of 20.
